Workers’ Compensation Claims

If you’ve sustained an injury at work, the doctors can help you navigate the complexities of the workers’ compensation scheme while you focus on your recovery. Making a claim for a work-related injury can be overwhelming, but the stress associated with the process is alleviated once you receive effective treatment and begin to recover.

We believe that effective post-injury management empowers you to take control of your recovery. You have the right to choose your treating doctors, therapists, and rehabilitation team.

The goal is to ensure your injury is treated promptly so you can return to work as soon as possible. Please note that these appointment types incur a private fee, which is due at the time of consultation. We will invoice your insurer directly once we have a letter addressed to your GP or care provider, along with a valid claim number.

Commercial Drivers license checks and Pre-Employment checks

When operating commercial vehicles like buses, trucks, and public passenger vehicles, it’s crucial for drivers to maintain both physical and mental fitness. As the individual in control of the vehicle, you must be able to react swiftly to unexpected situations and remain calm under pressure. Your ability to make sound decisions in stressful scenarios can significantly reduce the risk of accidents.

At Crace Medical Centre, the doctors in conjunction with our registered nurses conduct comprehensive assessments for commercial drivers and Pre-Employment checks.

If your position involves regular heavy lifting—such as in warehouse or courier work —your employer may require a Pre-employment Medical Assessment. This assessment certifies your physical health and ensures you are fit for the job.

Our evaluations cover various health aspects and include tests such as:

  • Vision tests
  • Drug and alcohol screenings
  • Urine tests
  • Blood tests
  • And more

The results from these tests provide a comprehensive view of your health, enabling us to offer a clear conclusion regarding your fitness for the position.

Please note that these appointments are charged privately and incur a fee with no Medicare rebate.
